E-mail can be overwhelming, but Canary offers a filtering feature that allows you to display only the types of messages you wish to view at that moment.
1) At the top of the Thread List, click the Filter icon.
2) The Filter toolbar is shown below. You can opt to display only emails which are Unread, are Unanswered, have Attachments, or are Starred.
3) You can also filter your emails according to Gmail categories to display only Personal, Social, Promotions, Updates and Forums messages.
