Dev Sanghani is the co-founder and CTO of Canary Mail, the Sequoia-backed email client for Mac, iOS, Windows, and Android. He started the company with Sohel, beginning with the original Mac app in 2015, and has spent the decade since building the systems behind Canary Mail's cross-platform apps: on-device AI features, PGP and end-to-end encryption, SecureSend, and unified inbox sync across major email providers.

Dev's articles focus on the technical side of email: account setup and configuration, provider and IMAP quirks, encryption and privacy, and how modern email clients work under the hood. When he explains how to configure an account or troubleshoot a sync issue, it comes from the engineer who built the client handling it.
