SecureSend: How Your Recipients Can Access Secure Emails

Recipients who use Canary Mail

• If the recipient uses Canary Mail, your email will be automatically decrypted and displayed in the app. No extra steps are needed to access secure emails.

Recipients who do not use Canary Mail

• Recipients without Canary Mail will receive an email with a link to a secure cloud-based reader. They just need to verify their identity—no new logins or software installation required.

• Once they open the link, they can verify their identity by signing into their email account or requesting a Magic Link (no sign in required), which will be sent to the same email address and allows them to read the secure email, download attachments, or respond, with any replies being encrypted.

How It Works:

1. The recipient gets an email notification about the secure message.
2. They click “Read Secure Email” to read your message.
3. They hit “Reply” to respond and can securely download or upload attachments.
4. They click “Secure Send” to transmit their response securely.

This process ensures your communications remain private and secure, no matter which email service your recipients use.
