SecureSend: How Your Recipients Can Access Secure Emails

Recipients who use Canary Mail

If the recipient is a Canary user, the email will be automatically decrypted and displayed in-app. No special steps are required to access secure emails.

Recipients who do not use Canary Mail

Recipients who do not use Canary will receive a link via email that allows them to access a secure cloud-based reader. They only need to establish their identity, they do not need to create any new logins or install new software.

Once the recipient opens the link, they’ll be able to view the message, download attachments, or respond. Any reply sent back to you (with or without attachments) is encrypted as well.

1) The recipient receives an email alerting them that they have a secure message from you.

2) The recipient clicks “Read Secure Email” to read your email.

3) The recipient hits “Reply” to respond, download or upload attachments securely.

4) The recipient clicks “Secure Send” to transmit their response securely.
